Back to school

After 1 week of holidays

sort of a holiday

it was really fun to be back in school!

Nice to see friends again

and teachers

and homework.. 

When I reached school 

my sister sent me using the car

because I have to bring my chemistry model

It's caffeine by the way..

I know, very pretty.. my model.. :)

Well

When I reach school

I saw all these reporters AGAIN..

they were reporting about us going back to school

how lame eh?

and there were lollipops at the entrance for us!!!

well, when i go to my first class

as usual

me and my friends talk

exchanging stories about how we live the past 7 days without going out..

its kinda tough

but... I've got lots of movies, series, dramas all stocked up

so, I got through the 7 days wonderfully!

BTW, I didn't get on video AGAIN! 

Although my friends told me that they saw me on BTN, ABC news..

Oh well..

But there's this really cute guy in my school who got on video news..

I saw the video.. 

He looks so adorable..

And now I regret telling you guys this.. :(

Not a flashback of Form 2

I wonder.. Anyone remember 'The Phantom of The Opera' ?

The drama..

Our unforgettable drama..

Thinking of it makes me laugh..

Well, today.. Just now actually..

I went and watch the BROADWAY VERSION!

which was on tour..

And trust me, IT WAS EVEN MORE UNFORGETTABLE!

The singing.. makes me gasp..

The acting.. kept me in awe..

The changing of scenes.. was simply AMAZING!

It was throughout an EXPERIENCE!

The 60 dollars I paid for myself.. And another 30 for my sister's ticket(her birthday present).. And the fact that I wore a dress there..  Mind you, the dress was above my knees.. :(  was truly worth it!

My facts:

1.  La Carlotta's singing was better than Christine's..

2.  The phantom.. is actually quite good looking..

3.  There was ONLY 2 kiss scene.. Christine and Raoul..  Phantom and Christine.. And BLIMEY, so worth the money I paid..

4.  There was a whole orchestra accompanying the performance!! SO AWESOME I TELL YOU!

5.  The chandelier played an important part actually..

Last advice:

You should watch it too.. Yes you should..

The case

The first swine flu case in SA(south australia, which is the state I'm in now) is by a girl in my school.. A year 10 girl..

Goodness, I might have used the same toilet she used.. D:

That's why my school, and only my school, got one whole week off..

My school, Eynesbury Senior College, actually got into the front page of a few newspaper.. Haha..

Too bad it wasn't for something good..

Well, all thanks to that GIRL, which I don't know..

I got a whole week of school off, for isolation actually!

Other stuff

So, Easter Break is HERE!  It seems like a very big event here in Australia.  =)

I get chocolates from teachers and friends and today, there was a guy in STAR WARS costume in my school, taking photos with the students.  NO, I DID NOT TAKE A PHOTO WITH HIM/HER/WHOEVER.  There was an easter bunny giving out chocolates in school too! =D

I got my term grades today, which is the report card.

What's going on?

I had a busy week after coming back to Adelaide from Malaysia.  

Assignments that needs to be handed up, tests that need to be sat, homework that needs catching up on.  

It was hell-ish.  

Well, thank God I survived!  

There's one more test next week, ESL(English as Second Language) listening test.  I hate that test more than anything else.  

It's like a test where they play a recording tape where British are speaking with their British accent, which is kind of annoying if you are not used to it but they are kind of hot in some ways, and you have to answer the questions on the sheet of paper where it is related to the things they are talking about.  They speak really quick. 

So, :(.

It's getting cold this week.  Maximum temperature: 20 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Which reminds me that I have to get a good jacket. 

And starting tomorrow, daylight saving ENDS! Yay!  I get to sleep an extra hour tonight. :)

Well, basically, when Malaysia is 7 am, it's 8.30am here is Adelaide!  1 1/2 hour difference.

I'm going to have a two weeks BREAK starting on Good Friday!  I'm thinking of going to work in KFC/Subway/somewhere near my place and earn some bucks to spend during the holidays instead of spending money.

But I have to guts to ask them for a job. D:

我亲爱的公公过世了，虽然已经过了一个星期，但是我还是非常伤心。希望他现在在一个更好的地方！

我一个星期没去学校，有一点担心赶不上所学的东西。有几个考试和project都没做！

Festival

After church just today, I went to a food and wine festival here in Norwood, Adelaide.  The second festival I attended in Australia, I think.  The first one was a show car thing and I have no idea what was going on.  It was boring anyway.

It was sunny and the whole place was CROWDED!  One whole road was closed because of the festival and there were tents pitched up at the sides of the road, and imagine 'PASAR MALAM' but only with the SUN and lots of 'white' people! XD  There were wine booths and food booths all around, obviously.  =.=

We bought calamari sticks, octopus sticks, watermelon-flavored ice cream and a special donut which was called Zap(^%*&le(not sure) WHICH ALSO FREAKIN COST ME 4 DOLLARS! Gah! So not worth it.  I only enjoyed the calamari. ^^

There were also performance at the every different streets.  A fashion show where the models are -as usual- have no visible boobs and asses.  There's aboriginals playing their weird instruments.  Singing performances were the enjoyable ones, but they made me miss karaoke. >_<

Well, on the whole, it was interesting and kind of new to me but I didn't really enjoy it that much.  Maybe I'm just picky.  :P

2.30am 10th February 2009, 5 smses through my Malaysia phone line woke me up.  Didn't check it till 8.00am when I woke up.  Birthday wishes! Whee ^_^

Went to school.

When I walked out from the building, my mom and sister was in the car, fetching me from school.  How fun!  No need to take a bus!  :D

When I reached home, my mom threw a sash on me.  A sash that read "DIVA PRINCESS". =.=

This was on the wall.  Lame eh?  But I'm secretly happy.  =)

THIS WAS WHAT MY MOM PREPARED FOR 3 PERSON.  I feel like a pig.  I'm one, maybe?

My birthday cake/cupcake(something different!) with 17 candles.  Cute eh?

Well, that kind of summarized my 17th b'day!

Second day of orientation.  I have to do 2 tests.  Math test and literacy test.  D:  Math test was no problem for me, did all of the questions except a few(never learn before).  When I talked to my friends about it, they said that they have never learn those things before, that calmed me down a lot.  *I don't look like a fool! Yippee~~*

Literacy test was however another issue altogether.  We have to answer three questions based on 2 articles given and write a formal letter(goodness knows what format to use).  So, when I wrote the formal letter, I tried to recall how to write a formal letter from all the sick letters that I have to type for those days I 'ponteng'!  

Wrote some crap on it, wasn't sure, so, I looked to my right and REFERENCED- this is called referencing, not COPYING-  and saw that he wrote the same thing as me.  I almost laughed out loud!  Obviously, he copied mine.  Sigh.  Well, I don't really care now, this test has to depend on my points then!

My 1st day of school(or so I thought at that time)!  Woke up at 6.30 am.  @_@  Took a bus to my new school.  I was feeling really nervous as to how the new school works, will I be able to make new friends, will I blend in etc.  I prayed a little prayer to God, wished for luck, and crossed my finger while walking in to school.  THANK GOODNESS!  It was actually orientation, instead of the 1st day of school!  I yippee-ed inwardly!  AWESOME!

10.30 am Orientation starts.  I stood there like a fool, trying to look cool but failing terribly.  Soon after the speeches made my the principal, teachers, counselor, blah blah blah, all of us are put into mentor groups of 10-13.  All of the other students in my group are international students aka AZNs(mostly chinese) as well!

There, I made some hong kong friends, few seriously cute boys. >_<  How awesome eh?  XD  Exchanged msn details.  Hopefully we get to be friends throughout the year!

Midnight, arrive in Melbourne Airport - not as nice as KLIA/Changi Airport though - and waited in there for 5 hours!  Thank God that none of the food got confiscated!  Awesome!  And I managed to nap/sleep a few hours while in the waiting room! ^_^

Sat on Qantas Airline to go to Adelaide.  Was a nice flight!  They provided breakfast and most importantly, they gave us cute, adorable bottles of drinks!  There's mineral water and juice to choose from!  (I was more interested in the bottles than the drinks, actually)

Took a taxi to my new home.  =.=  The weather was HOT as HELL!  Obviously, this is the start of a NEW kind of TORTURE for me.  D:  Cleaned the house, nothing much happened.  Slept in the living room cause there is air conditioning there.  ;)

My flight to Melbourne, it was boring at first, sitting in AirAsia X, listening to songs, talking to my sister and mother. I went to the lavatory aka toilet, saw that some people were chatting via the plane network. Woohoo! Something to cure my boredom. Finally! 

I went back, open the screen in front of me and started chatting. Chat with some people, asians and australians alike. Suddenly, a guy tapped on my back, I looked back. He said, ' Hi, 11G(my seat no.), I'm XXX from seat XXX.' I was SHOCKED! There was another -cuter- guy behind him, so, we said hellos, nice to meet you, blah blah blah. Still SHOCKED! XD 

But this was kind of memorable for me! Me and some people on the flight exchanged msn details and all. And that was how I made some new random friends!

Leaving

Haih.. I am at the airport now.. Smsing and blogging at the same time.. Was actually really happy and suprised that a few of my friends came and send me off.. Thank you all for your well wishes.. Love you guys a lot.. Well that's all for now.. Need to board the plane soon and leave Malaysia.. Well, there's always a first for everything.. And this is the first time I'm leaving home and learning to be independent.. I hope I will not fail my parent's expectations.. Off to a new phase of my life.. Miss you guys already!! Muackx!

I had the most expensive haircut today!  D:  RM39 for haircut, hair wash, movie=Rambo, a wide selections of english songs, and AN HOUR WORTHS OF HAIR ADVICE!  >_<

I know that I had a bad dye job done last week but WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO MENTION IT TO ME!?!  I have dry hair, lots of white hair....  T_T

But it was an experience I rather enjoyed!  Worth my time, I guess.  :)  And my hair looks kind of different now!  Cute  xD
